About

Welcome! I’m Sarah—Christ follower, pastor’s wife, boy mom, biblical counselor, lover of words and the beauty a photo can capture. I’m blessed to serve alongside my husband in ministry, counseling and teaching women the Word of God. I’m also deep in the trenches of mothering through “the little years,” experiencing both the great joys and challenges this season brings.

Writing is a necessary practice for me as it helps me work out what God is teaching me through His Word and my life circumstances. Writing helps me flesh out how the gospel of Jesus Christ shapes every part of my identity and womanhood, and it gives me the opportunity to share truth and  hope with women I may never encounter personally.

The good news of Jesus Christ offers eternal rest because it enables us to stop striving in our own strength to atone for our sin and earn favor with God. Resting in Christ spurs us on to carry out the good works “which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). Our work doesn’t save or define us. But it does bring glory to God and joy to us as we walk in faithfulness and obedience to the callings he has placed on each of our lives.

The catalyst for both deep rest of the soul and God-exalting life work is grace. Gospel-shaped womanhood is powered by grace as God’s strength is perfected in our acknowledgment of our own inability and weakness.

Thanks for following along! I pray you are encouraged to look to Jesus.
