So, Christy and I took the boys to the zoo the other day and apparently it’s the mama/baby thing to do during the week {other than Target} because, I kid you not, everyone there was pushing a stroller.
Don’t we look so mom-ish posing with our strollers {and babies :)}?
Let me tell you, Mr. Boy had himself one good time! He was kicking those legs and grinning the minute we walked through the gates.
Take or leave the animals, he was just excited to be hanging out with a friend. He’s his daddy’s child.
We did let the boys actually see the giraffes, in case you’re worried. They’re still at the age where the animals don’t do a lot for them, though.
My favorite part of the day was when Jackson walked into this little stream inside the bird house that the bird keeper lady had just instructed all the children and adults NOT to go near. Christy turned her back for two seconds to try and pick up one of the birds {creepy} and Jackson walked straight into that stream. When we turned around, he was just standing there, sandals completely soaked. And the bird lady didn’t look too happy. I am laughing out loud right now as I type about it.
But how could anybody be irritated at that little face? Isn’t he just yummy?!?
The boys both loved the petting zoo.
I was a little afraid that L might grab the goat’s horns or hair and make it mad. Clearly we have some work to do on being gentle with the animals. We came across this little wooden canoe thingy in the reptile house and thought it would be the cutest spot for a photo opp. I can’t believe the boys {somewhat} cooperated since we had been out in the blazing sun for almost three hours and both had missed their morning nap. We managed a few cute shots, though. The lighting is bad and the pics are a little blurry, but they make me laugh.
We couldn’t get J to sit down and L to stop teething on the boat. I should probably be more of a germaphobe. Let’s hope he’s building a strong immune system.
It was such a fun day at the zoo, and I’m sure we will be back plenty of times through the summer!
That’s a nice hat that L is wearing. Haha, I bet Addakins LOOOOVVVVEEEESS it!
