2 months

Sweet Baby Boy,

We are so thankful for two months with you. You are the one God graciously entrusted to us, and you were created exactly as you should be. We love you so much and would never trade you for anyone else.

You are growing like a little weed… 11 pounds and 1.5 ounces, 24 inches long (25th-50th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height).

You are more alert each day, and you always prefer to be held facing out so you can look around and see your world (J-J says I was like this as a baby).

You are getting so strong—picking your head up during tummy time, and holding it up straight when we hold you over our shoulders. You still love to exercise those little legs and arms with lots of kicking and punching. You are quite the active little wiggle worm. I can only imagine how things will be when you’re crawling and walking.

You’re laughing and smiling and cooing at us all the time, and it just melts our hearts. We love how responsive and happy you are, and we just think you are cute as a button! You have some hilarious facial expressions.

I treasure these days with you while you are still so small, but I can’t wait to see you grow and develop and gain new skills. I love getting to know you more.

I pray that God’s favor will be upon you, that He will protect you from evil and harm, that He will soften your heart to receive Him through faith one day. I pray that He will give your dad and me wisdom and discernment to love and raise you well.

What an honor and privilege it is to be your mama! I love you so much, Luke!
